Occupation: Home duties
Favourite Pastimes: Reading, gardening, trying to keep fit, good food.

How long have you been involved with the TNC: 19 years.
What has been your involvement in the TNC: committee member, secretary, records officer, canteen manager, coach, player, team manager.

Most memorable time at the TNC: The Grand Finals that I was fortunate to participate in, but those won are obviously more memorable - 1998 player Senior 6 & 2000 coached senior 5 to premiership.

Best TNC player seen: There have been several players Robyn Westoff who was an amazing goalie, Robyn Horley who was so athletic and Lyn Hoklas’ agility in defense. It was also great to see young talented junior players promoted to senior 1, Jane Rothe, Bethany Rothe & Elissa Leske.

Jo Buck

2001

Occupation: Director of Operations, Barossa Arts & Convention Centre.
Favourite Pastimes: Shopping, sleeping & gardening.
How long have you been involved with the TNC: Since 1974 when I started playing in “I” Grade...sort of like under 13’s.
What has been your involvement in the TNC: Player 1974 - 2000, coached at various times, umpired and have been a committee member including Club President 1990/1991.
Most memorable time at the TNC: Most memorable time would have had to have been in the eighties when I was playing “A” Grade & we won premierships in 1981, ‘83, ‘84, ‘85, ‘89 & 1990. We had a core of players who stuck together for 10 years...including Kathy Marschall, Gayle Dawkins, Marianne Kieboom, Robyn Horley & Nolene Clegget. Key highlight was the 1989 premiership as both the “A” Grade netball and football won...we celebrate with a 20 year reunion this year. But the best of the best was defeating Nuriootpa only 3 times in 3 years...all 3 games being Grand Finals.
Best TNC player seen: There have been a few. Marianne Kieboom, Robyn Horley & Rachel Steinberner were stand outs for me!

1995

Occupation: Retired Teacher
Favourite Pastimes: Looking after 4 gorgeous grandchildren, social tennis & daily walks with my energetic
cocker spaniel.
How long have you been involved with the TNC: Started my association with the club in 1970 having transferred from Nuriootpa (a big thing at the time!).
What has been your involvement in the TNC: Player, Coach, President, Secretary, Association President, Association Player and Delegate, parent, Life Member and supporter.
Most memorable time at the TNC: Early 70’s as a player and a member of a premiership side. We defeated Nuriootpa by 1 goal! (some mixed emotions that day!). Committee life was busy but they were fun times! In the early 80’s I really enjoyed watching my daughters Nicole and Georgina play especially the excitement and hype of the finals. I loved coaching the juniors, they were always so keen. My biggest problem was too many girls and not enough court positions, it was really hard to be fair all the time. I wonder if present day coaches still have that problem?
Best TNC player seen: That’s difficult, there have been so many great players...Robyn Roenfeldt (maiden name) A Grade and amazingly agile and gifted player. She could shine and inspire anywhere but especially in the attack and goalie positions.

How long have you been involved with the TNC: Since 1975 when I played A Grade for Tanunda.

Most memorable time at the TNC: My most memorable time with the club is definitely playing in three Senior 1 premiership teams in 1981, 83 & 85, also coaching 5 consecutive junior premierships & being awarded life membership.
Best TNC player seen: Robyn Horley without a doubt!

SueFuller

Sue Fuller

1987

Occupation: Administration Assistant
Favourite Pastimes: Looking after grandchildren and attempting ‘stitching’ (very sad, just ask Lynne Lindner)
In which year were you made a life member:
In 1987, shared the honour with Lynne Lindner.
How long have you been involved with the TNC: Forever - started in the early 1960's.
What has been your involvement in the TNC: Player, Umpire, Coach, Treasurer, President (also included 'our turn' as Association President), Life Member & Supporter.
Most memorable time at the TNC: Gosh, where do I start, perhaps the more testing time of dedication was having training at 6.45 am, back home by 8.00am, showered, have breakfast and catch the bus to Nuri High School by 8.30am - believe me we did that for a full season because that suited our coach - Thelma Murphy (bless her) and we did not have parents running us around we rode our bikes! Netball was our life so we just had great fun and really enjoyed the sport - we were very competitive.
Best TNC player seen: Rosemary Traeger (maiden name) A grade team member back in the 60's early 70's - GD/GK - super fit, amazing gift of concentration and interception ability, a wonderful player to watch.

LynneLindner

Lynne Lindner

1987

Occupation: Carer for Barossa Aged Care
Favourite Pastimes: Family & friends, needlework, patchwork, gardening & sport (Crows of course)
How long have you been involved with the TNC: Approximately 50 years
What has been your involvement in the TNC: Player, Umpire, Coach, Club President, Secretary, Treasurer, B&L Rep, BL&G Secretary, Team Manager for BL&G Country Carnival sides and current Tribunal for Barossa for BL&G.
Most memorable time at the TNC: Many, the friends that I have made & are still friends with. The absolute thrill of being presented with Life Membership on the same night as Sue Fuller. The journey of the TNC from having 1 court and 2 teams (training at 7am in the fog before school) to the current complex of today. The annual windup presentation in the Tanunda Institute was the highlight of our year (new dress, hair done and even a boyfriend was allowed to come), it was such a wonderful evening.
Best TNC player seen: The TNC has been fortunate to have some very good players, winners of premierships & individual awards. Players like Jill Clarkson as goalie, Rosemary Traeger in defence, Denise (Payze) Habermann as goalie & her daughter Kristen just to name a few. The late Pam Hall as coach left me with quite a few memories. She was a very dedicated & an enthusiastic coach, always pushing us but encouraging at the same time. She had some effective little tricks, like footwork to indicate who would receive the centre pass & position of the goalies in the circle. The time & devotion of the Late Edna Behrndt, Kay Hueppauff (my Mum), Thelma Murphy, Marj Lehmann & Mary Heidenreich who have all made the TNC what is it today – something for todays members to strive for.
